Camp accredidation

Camp routines for happy campers.

House Routines

1. Teenage and junior campers are responsible for making their beds, putting their clothes away, tidying up their rooms and emptying trash bins on a daily basis.

2. Bathrooms are cleaned by our housekeeping staff twice a day; please try not to use them when they are being cleaned. Please also keep the bathrooms tidy as they are shared by your house-mates and Guidance Counselors. Vandalism and mischief are unacceptable.

3. Please keep personal toiletry articles in your own room and not in bathrooms as they may be discarded.

4. If something in or around the bunk is broken or dangerous, report it to a counselor immediately.

5. There is plenty of water, but please do not waste it.

6. All non-recycling refuse is to be disposed of in garbage bins. Recycled items (cans and paper) should be discarded in designated recycling bins around camp.

7. Please turn off lights and fans when not in use.

8. Windows should be opened during the day for ventilation, but closed if it rains or is cold.

9. Valuables should be carefully put away or stored in the counselor's room (projects should be left in shops where they were made until the end of the session). Buck's Rock cannot be held responsible for valuables that are lost, stolen or left after camp.

10. Wet towels and bathing suits should be hung outside on clotheslines and brought in when dry and before rain.

11. The outgoing mailbox is on the porch and camper mail is delivered to the bunks by the Guidance Counselors or Mail CITs.

12. Female campers: please do not dispose of sanitary napkins and tampons in toilets, but rather in garbage bins.
