As a combination of creative and fine arts, metalsmithing allows campers to make so much more than just rings! In the Metals Shop you can learn how to shape, texturize, solder, fabricate and cast your metal into almost any form you can think of (and even some that you can't). Using sterling silver, copper, brass and nickel, campers are instructed in making all kinds of jewelry – including rings, necklaces, bracelets and earrings – as well as small sculptures and even utensils.
During our summer camp sessions, we offer workshops in different metal-related techniques, as well as some unrelated workshops such as shrinky dinks, fimo, sculpey clay, bead and button jewelry, bead casting, etching, enameling, and even henna tattoos and hair extensions.
