Enrichment makes all the difference.

Buck’s Rock’s shift from a for-profit enterprise to a non-profit organization has brought about some important changes in how we run camp. One such change is that we have eliminated all camper accounts. We want campers to be able to create, experience, and enjoy the opportunities at camp without having to think about how much extra it might cost their families.

But we need your help!

Y

ou can help us by donating to our annual Enrichment

Fund!

The Enrichment Fund is a special pot of money set aside specifically for all consumable and rental materials we need for the summer, as well as sponsorship of all visiting artists and contributors. Consumable materials include metals and gems to make jewelry, sketchbooks and pencils to design comic books, felt and googly eyes to build puppets, and any other materials that get used over the summer to create projects. Rented items include the professional-grade lighting and sound equipment, musical instruments, and computers for various shops. In addition, we are excited to welcome a breadth of visiting artists to campus, from dedicated alumni, to famous movie stars, to working artists, all of whom are generous enough to come share their talents with campers. With your generous help, these materials, equipment, and visiting artist workshops will already be covered for anyone who wishes to take advantage of them.

Our goal for the Materials Fund this year is to raise $200,000, and every little bit helps. $250 might buy 40 yards of fabric for projects in the Sewing Shop! $100 might buy ingredients for the Burger Contest in Culinary! $5,000 will cover instrument rentals for the Music Shed! $500 can bring a visiting artist to teach an acting workshop for a weekend! The possibilities are endless, and they will be available to all of our campers, regardless of cost.

We cannot thank you enough for being part of our Buck’s Rock Community.
